ईशं ह्यसुर विद्मस्त्वां वयं सर्वे धनेश्वरम् ॥९॥

9. pratyuvāca tato'gastyaḥ prahasannilvalaṁ tadā ,
īśaṁ hyasura vidmastvāṁ vayaṁ sarve dhaneśvaram.

Then Agastya, smiling, replied to Ilvala at that time: 'Indeed, O demon, all of us know you to be a lord (īśa) and master of wealth (dhaneśvara).'
