महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-204, verse-26

पञ्चैव गुरवो ब्रह्मन्पुरुषस्य बुभूषतः ।
पिता माताग्निरात्मा च गुरुश्च द्विजसत्तम ॥२६॥
26. pañcaiva guravo brahmanpuruṣasya bubhūṣataḥ ,
pitā mātāgnirātmā ca guruśca dvijasattama.

pitā mātā agniḥ ātmā ca guruḥ ca dvijasattama
26. O brahmin (brahman), for a person who wishes to prosper, there are truly five teachers: the father, the mother, the fire, one's own self (ātman), and the spiritual teacher (guru), O best among the twice-born (dvija).
