महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-23, verse-22

अहं सखा सुरेन्द्रस्य शक्रादनवमो रणे ।
न च शक्नोमि ते तात स्थातुं प्रमुखतो युधि ॥२२॥
22. ahaṁ sakhā surendrasya śakrādanavamo raṇe ,
na ca śaknomi te tāta sthātuṁ pramukhato yudhi.
22. aham sakhā surendrasya śakrāt anavamaḥ raṇe na
ca śaknomi te tāta sthātum pramukhataḥ yudhi
22. I am a friend of Indra (surendra), not inferior to Indra (śakra) himself in battle. Yet, O dear one, I am unable to stand before you in combat.
