महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-52, verse-25

न च ते तपसो नाशमिच्छामि जपतां वर ।
तपस्ते सुमहद्दीप्तं गुरवश्चापि तोषिताः ॥२५॥
25. na ca te tapaso nāśamicchāmi japatāṁ vara ,
tapaste sumahaddīptaṁ guravaścāpi toṣitāḥ.
25. na ca te tapasas nāśam icchāmi japatām vara
tapas te sumahat dīptam guravaḥ ca api toṣitāḥ
25. japatām vara te tapasas nāśam na ca icchāmi te
tapas sumahat dīptam ca guravaḥ api toṣitāḥ
25. O best among those who recite, I do not wish for your asceticism (tapas) to be lost. Your asceticism (tapas) is very great and radiant, and your preceptors (guru) are also pleased.
