One's intrinsic nature (svabhāva) desires agreeable objects, and one's intrinsic nature dislikes all hateful things. Desire (kāma) and aversion (dveṣa) arise from intrinsic nature (svabhāva) after settling the vital breaths (prāṇa and apāna) into the bodies of living beings.
