महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-32, verse-8

तपोधनान्वेदविदो नित्यं वेदपरायणान् ।
महार्हान्वृष्णिशार्दूल सदा संपूजयाम्यहम् ॥८॥
8. tapodhanānvedavido nityaṁ vedaparāyaṇān ,
mahārhānvṛṣṇiśārdūla sadā saṁpūjayāmyaham.

8. O best of the Vṛṣṇis, I always honor those who possess asceticism (tapas) as their wealth, who are knowers of the Vedas, constantly devoted to the Vedas, and are highly esteemed.
