महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-32, verse-30

तथैव विप्रप्रवरान्नमस्कृत्य यतव्रतान् ।
भवन्ति ये दानरता दुर्गाण्यतितरन्ति ते ॥३०॥
30. tathaiva viprapravarānnamaskṛtya yatavratān ,
bhavanti ye dānaratā durgāṇyatitaranti te.
30. tathā eva viprapravarān namaskṛtya yatavratān
bhavanti ye dāneratāḥ durgāṇi atitaranti te
30. tathā eva ye viprapravarān yatavratān namaskṛtya
dāneratāḥ bhavanti te durgāṇi atitaranti
30. Similarly, those who, having saluted the foremost among the twice-born (dvija) who are firm in their observances, become dedicated to giving (dāna), they overcome difficulties.
