महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-332, verse-10

तस्माच्चोत्तिष्ठते शब्दः सर्वलोकेश्वरात्प्रभोः ।
आकाशं युज्यते येन ततस्तिष्ठत्यसंवृतम् ॥१०॥

10. From that Lord, the master of all worlds, sound also arises. By Him, space (ākāśa) is connected, and therefore it remains unobstructed.
