महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-3, verse-31

अन्यत्र वधकालात्ते सदृशेन समेयुषः ।
अब्राह्मणे न हि ब्रह्म ध्रुवं तिष्ठेत्कदाचन ॥३१॥
31. anyatra vadhakālātte sadṛśena sameyuṣaḥ ,
abrāhmaṇe na hi brahma dhruvaṁ tiṣṭhetkadācana.

31. Except at the moment of your death, when you encounter an equal [opponent], divine knowledge (brahman) will surely never abide permanently in one who is not a Brahmin.
