महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-3, verse-28

पिता गुरुर्न संदेहो वेदविद्याप्रदः प्रभुः ।
अतो भार्गव इत्युक्तं मया गोत्रं तवान्तिके ॥२८॥
28. pitā gururna saṁdeho vedavidyāpradaḥ prabhuḥ ,
ato bhārgava ityuktaṁ mayā gotraṁ tavāntike.
28. pitā guruḥ na saṃdehaḥ vedavidyāpradaḥ prabhuḥ
ataḥ bhārgavaḥ iti uktam mayā gotram tava antike

28. My father is certainly my teacher (guru), the bestower of Vedic knowledge, and my master. Therefore, before you, I declared my family lineage as a descendant of Bhṛgu.
