Meat (māṃsa) consecrated by a Yajus (yajuṣā) [is permissible]; however, one who has ceased from meat consumption (māṃsabhakṣaṇa) should not eat meat for pleasure (vṛthāmāṃsa), and should avoid backbiting (pṛṣṭhamāṃsa).
