महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-177, verse-11

ऊष्मतो ग्लानपर्णानां त्वक्फलं पुष्पमेव च ।
म्लायते चैव शीते न स्पर्शस्तेनात्र विद्यते ॥११॥
11. ūṣmato glānaparṇānāṁ tvakphalaṁ puṣpameva ca ,
mlāyate caiva śīte na sparśastenātra vidyate.

mlāyate ca eva śīte na sparśaḥ tena atra vidyate
11. glānaparṇānām tvakphalam puṣpam ca eva ūṣmataḥ mlāyate

11. Leaves, bark, fruits, and flowers wither due to heat, and they also wither in the cold. Is it not therefore (tena) through the sense of touch (sparśa) that this sensation is present in them (atra)?
