न संतापस्त्वया कार्यः कथंचित्पन्नगोत्तम ।
दीप्तादग्नेः समुत्पन्नं नाशयिष्यामि ते भयम् ॥२३॥

23. āstīka uvāca ,
na saṁtāpastvayā kāryaḥ kathaṁcitpannagottama ,
dīptādagneḥ samutpannaṁ nāśayiṣyāmi te bhayam.

Astika said, 'O best of serpents, you should not feel any distress whatsoever. I will destroy your fear, which has arisen from the blazing fire.'
