एतच्छ्रुत्वा तु वचनं वासुकिः पन्नगेश्वरः ।
प्रादान्माममरप्रख्य तव पित्रे महात्मने ।
प्रागेवानागते काले तत्र त्वं मय्यजायथाः ॥१४॥

prāgevānāgate kāle tatra tvaṁ mayyajāyathāḥ.

Jaratkāru [the princess] said: 'But after hearing this speech, Vāsuki, the lord of serpents, gave me, who am like a god, to your great-souled father [the sage Jaratkāru]. Indeed, even before the appointed time had arrived, you were born from me there.'
