तत आहूय पुत्रं स्वं जरत्कारुर्भुजंगमा ।
वासुकेर्नागराजस्य वचनादिदमब्रवीत् ॥१॥

Sūta said: Then, after calling her own son, Jaratkāru, the serpent maiden, spoke these words according to the command of Vāsuki, the king of serpents.
