योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-207, verse-14

प्रोक्तः सर्वविरुद्धेन सोऽज्ञः कूपान्धदर्दुरः ।
पूर्वापरधियं त्यक्त्वा वर्तमाने मतिस्थितः ॥ १४ ॥
proktaḥ sarvaviruddhena so'jñaḥ kūpāndhadarduraḥ ,
pūrvāparadhiyaṃ tyaktvā vartamāne matisthitaḥ 14
14. proktaḥ sarvaviruddhena saḥ ajñaḥ kūpāndhadarduraḥ
| pūrvāparadhiyam tyaktvā vartamāne matisthitaḥ
14. saḥ ajñaḥ kūpāndhadarduraḥ sarvaviruddhena proktaḥ,
(yaḥ) pūrvāparadhiyam tyaktvā vartamāne matisthitaḥ.
14. He is called by one who contradicts everything an ignorant person, like a blind frog in a well, whose mind, having forsaken the understanding of prior and subsequent matters, is fixed solely on the present.
