श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
यद्यथा कल्पितं येन स संपश्यति तत्तथा ।
कल्पनैवान्यथा न स्यात्तादृक्कारणविच्युतेः ॥ ३ ॥
यद्यथा कल्पितं येन स संपश्यति तत्तथा ।
कल्पनैवान्यथा न स्यात्तादृक्कारणविच्युतेः ॥ ३ ॥

yadyathā kalpitaṃ yena sa saṃpaśyati tattathā ,
kalpanaivānyathā na syāttādṛkkāraṇavicyuteḥ 3

Shri Vasishtha said: "Whatever is imagined by someone, in whatever way, that person perceives it in that very manner. This is because imagination (kalpanā) itself would not manifest otherwise, due to the absence of any other such cause (for a different manifestation)."
