योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-4, chapter-8, verse-26

मद्रदेशे चिरं कृत्वा राज्यमुत्सन्नशात्रवम् ।
जरामभ्याजगामात्र हिमाशनिरिवाम्बुजम् ॥ २६ ॥
madradeśe ciraṃ kṛtvā rājyamutsannaśātravam ,
jarāmabhyājagāmātra himāśanirivāmbujam 26
26. madra-deśe ciram kṛtvā rājyam utsanna-śātravam
jarām abhyājagāma atra himāśaniḥ iva ambujam
26. (saḥ) madra-deśe utsanna-śātravam rājyam ciram kṛtvā,
atra jarām abhyājagāma,
himāśaniḥ ambujam iva.
26. After having ruled the kingdom of Madra for a long time, with all enemies vanquished, old age approached him, just as a hailstone (or ice-thunderbolt) approaches a lotus.
