योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-77, verse-31

मृतिर्गुणितिरस्कारो जीवितं गुणिसंश्रयः ।
फलं स्वर्गापवर्गादि जीविताद्गुणिसंश्रितात् ॥ ३१ ॥
mṛtirguṇitiraskāro jīvitaṃ guṇisaṃśrayaḥ ,
phalaṃ svargāpavargādi jīvitādguṇisaṃśritāt 31

31. Death (mṛti) is characterized by the disrespect (tiraskāra) shown to the virtuous, whereas life (jīvita) is found in taking refuge (saṃśraya) in the virtuous.
