योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-19, verse-14

मनः प्रकृत्यैव चलं बाल्यं च चलतां वरम् ।
तयोः संश्लिष्यतोस्त्राता क इवान्तः कुचापले ॥ १४ ॥
manaḥ prakṛtyaiva calaṃ bālyaṃ ca calatāṃ varam ,
tayoḥ saṃśliṣyatostrātā ka ivāntaḥ kucāpale 14

tayoḥ saṃśliṣyatoḥ trātā kaḥ iva antaḥ kucāpale

14. The mind (manas) is restless by its very nature (prakṛti), and childhood is the foremost state of restlessness. When these two (mind and childhood) become intertwined, who inside oneself can protect one from such intense mischief (kucāpala)?
