वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-78, verse-2

एवमेतन्नरश्रेष्ठ यथा वदसि लक्ष्मण ।
वृत्रघातमशेषेण वाजिमेधफलं च यत् ॥२॥
2. evametannaraśreṣṭha yathā vadasi lakṣmaṇa ,
vṛtraghātamaśeṣeṇa vājimedhaphalaṃ ca yat.
2. evam etat naraśreṣṭha yathā vadasi lakṣmaṇa
vṛtraghātam aśeṣeṇa vājimedhaphalam ca yat
2. lakṣmaṇa naraśreṣṭha,
etat evam yathā vadasi,

2. This is indeed so, O Lakṣmaṇa, best among men, just as you say. The complete slaying of Vṛtra and the entire fruit of the horse (Vedic) ritual (vājimedha) (are comparable).
