वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-78, verse-13

ये च तत्र वनोद्देशे सत्त्वाः पुरुषवादिनः ।
यच्च किं चन तत् सर्वं नारीसंज्ञं बभूव ह ॥१३॥
13. ye ca tatra vanoddeśe sattvāḥ puruṣavādinaḥ ,
yacca kiṃ cana tat sarvaṃ nārīsaṃjñaṃ babhūva ha.

ca kim cana tat sarvam nārīsaṃjñam babhūva ha

13. And all the beings (sattvāḥ) in that forest region who identified themselves as men, along with anything else present there, indeed became designated as 'female'.
