वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-7, verse-23

शत्रुः पतिप्रवादेन मात्रेव हितकाम्यया ।
आशीविष इवाङ्केन बाले परिधृतस्त्वया ॥२३॥
23. śatruḥ patipravādena mātreva hitakāmyayā ,
āśīviṣa ivāṅkena bāle paridhṛtastvayā.

23. O innocent one, that enemy, under the guise of being your husband and with a desire for your welfare like a mother's, has been cherished by you on your lap just like a venomous serpent.
