When the lord of the ninth house (dharma) is situated in the Pārijāta division, the native becomes a pilgrim (tīrthakṛt) in this birth. It should also be understood that such a person was a pilgrim (tīrthakṛt) in a previous birth if they are also in the Uttamāṃśa (best division).
