मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-59, verse-29

इत्येतत् कथितं ब्रह्मन् कुरुवर्षं मयोत्तरम् ।
शृणु किंपुरुषादीनि वर्षाणि गदतो मम ॥२९॥
29. ityetat kathitaṃ brahman kuruvarṣaṃ mayottaram .
śṛṇu kiṃpuruṣādīni varṣāṇi gadato mama.
29. iti etat kathitam brahman kuravarṣam mayā
uttaram śṛṇu kiṃpuruṣa ādīni varṣāṇi gadataḥ mama
29. Thus, O Brahmin (brahman), this northern Kuru region (Kuruvarṣa) has been narrated by me. Now hear from me about Kimpuruṣa and other regions as I describe them.
