मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-59, verse-1

मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
एवन्तु भारतं वर्षं यथावत् कथितं मुने ।
कृतं त्रेता द्वापरञ्च तथाथिष्यं चतुष्टयम् ॥१॥
1. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
evantu bhārataṃ varṣaṃ yathāvat kathitaṃ mune .
kṛtaṃ tretā dvāparañca tathāthiṣyaṃ catuṣṭayam.
1. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca evam tu bhāratam varṣam yathāvat kathitam
mune kṛtam tretā dvāparam ca tathā athiṣyam catuṣṭayam
1. Mārkaṇḍeya said: 'Thus, O sage, the land of Bhārata (India) has been described to you accurately. The Kṛta (Yuga), Tretā (Yuga), Dvāpara (Yuga), and also the future fourth (yuga), form the set of four.'
