मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-17, verse-4

ब्रह्मरूपञ्च शुक्लाभं पतमानं समन्ततः ।
सोमरूपं रजोपेतं दिशस्तं जगृहुर्दश ॥४॥
4. brahmarūpañca śuklābhaṃ patamānaṃ samantataḥ .
somarūpaṃ rajopetaṃ diśastaṃ jagṛhurdaśa.
4. brahmarūpam ca śuklābham patamānam samantataḥ
somarūpam rajopetam diśaḥ tam jagṛhuḥ daśa
4. And that which was falling everywhere, having the form of the supreme reality (brahman), shining white, having the form of Soma (the moon), and accompanied by `rajas`, the ten directions received it.
