महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-51, verse-13

तन्नारदवचः श्रुत्वा साब्रवीदृषिसंसदि ।
तपसोऽर्धं प्रयच्छामि पाणिग्राहस्य सत्तमाः ॥१३॥
13. tannāradavacaḥ śrutvā sābravīdṛṣisaṁsadi ,
tapaso'rdhaṁ prayacchāmi pāṇigrāhasya sattamāḥ.
13. tat nāradavacaḥ śrutvā sā abravīt ṛṣisaṃsadi
tapasaḥ ardham prayacchāmi pāṇigrāhasya sattamāḥ
13. nāradavacaḥ tat śrutvā,
sā ṛṣisaṃsadi abravīt: sattamāḥ,
pāṇigrāhasya tapasaḥ ardham prayacchāmi.
13. Having heard Nārada's words, she declared in the assembly of sages, 'O best of sages, I will give half of my asceticism (tapas) to the one who takes my hand.'
