महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-58, verse-10

चतुःशताः शरवर्षैर्हताः पेतुः किरीटिना ।
पर्यस्तानीव शृङ्गाणि ससत्त्वानि महागिरेः ॥१०॥
10. catuḥśatāḥ śaravarṣairhatāḥ petuḥ kirīṭinā ,
paryastānīva śṛṅgāṇi sasattvāni mahāgireḥ.

paryastāni iva śṛṅgāṇi sasattvāni mahāgireḥ
10. kirīṭinā śaravarṣaiḥ hatāḥ caturśatāḥ petuḥ,
(te) mahāgireḥ sasattvāni śṛṅgāṇi paryastāni iva.
10. Four hundred [warriors], struck by showers of arrows from the crowned one (Arjuna), fell, just as the peaks of a great mountain, complete with their living beings, are overthrown.
