महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-32, verse-7

इच्छतस्ते न मुच्येत चक्षुःप्राप्तो रणे रिपुः ।
जिघृक्षतो रक्ष्यमाणः सामरैरपि पाण्डवैः ॥७॥
7. icchataste na mucyeta cakṣuḥprāpto raṇe ripuḥ ,
jighṛkṣato rakṣyamāṇaḥ sāmarairapi pāṇḍavaiḥ.
7. icchataḥ te na mucyeta cakṣuḥprāptaḥ raṇe ripuḥ
jighṛkṣataḥ rakṣyamāṇaḥ sāmaraiḥ api pāṇḍavaiḥ

7. If you truly desired, an enemy within your sight in battle would not escape, even if he were being protected by the Pandavas (pāṇḍava) along with the gods (amara), when you seek to capture him.
