महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-87, verse-8

राजमार्गे नरा न स्म संभवन्त्यवनिं गताः ।
तथा हि सुमहद्राजन्हृषीकेशप्रवेशने ॥८॥
8. rājamārge narā na sma saṁbhavantyavaniṁ gatāḥ ,
tathā hi sumahadrājanhṛṣīkeśapraveśane.

gatāḥ tathā hi sumahat rājan hṛṣīkeśapraveśane
8. Indeed, O great king, when Hṛṣīkeśa (Kṛṣṇa) made his entry, people could not stand on the royal road; they had fallen to the ground.
