महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-186, verse-16

रामेण सह मा योत्सीर्गुरुणेति पुनः पुनः ।
न हि रामो रणे जेतुं त्वया न्याय्यः कुरूद्वह ।
मानं कुरुष्व गाङ्गेय ब्राह्मणस्य रणाजिरे ॥१६॥
16. rāmeṇa saha mā yotsīrguruṇeti punaḥ punaḥ ,
na hi rāmo raṇe jetuṁ tvayā nyāyyaḥ kurūdvaha ,
mānaṁ kuruṣva gāṅgeya brāhmaṇasya raṇājire.

16. "Do not fight with Rama, your teacher (guru)," they pleaded again and again. "Indeed, O chief of the Kurus, Rama is not fit to be conquered by you in battle. O son of Ganga, show respect to the brahmin on the battlefield."
