महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-52, verse-7

स शरैरर्पितः क्रुद्धः शितैरग्निशिखोपमैः ।
तूर्णं शरसहस्रेण पार्थमप्रतिमौजसम् ।
अर्पयित्वा महात्मानं ननाद समरे कृपः ॥७॥
7. sa śarairarpitaḥ kruddhaḥ śitairagniśikhopamaiḥ ,
tūrṇaṁ śarasahasreṇa pārthamapratimaujasam ,
arpayitvā mahātmānaṁ nanāda samare kṛpaḥ.

7. Enraged by Arjuna's sharp arrows, which were like tongues of fire, Kṛpa, the great-souled (mahātman) warrior, swiftly assailed Arjuna, who possessed unequalled might, with a thousand arrows in battle, and then roared.
