महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-52, verse-18

तामर्जुनस्तदायान्तीं शक्तिं हेमविभूषिताम् ।
वियद्गतां महोल्काभां चिच्छेद दशभिः शरैः ।
सापतद्दशधा छिन्ना भूमौ पार्थेन धीमता ॥१८॥
18. tāmarjunastadāyāntīṁ śaktiṁ hemavibhūṣitām ,
viyadgatāṁ maholkābhāṁ ciccheda daśabhiḥ śaraiḥ ,
sāpataddaśadhā chinnā bhūmau pārthena dhīmatā.
18. tām arjunaḥ tadā āyāntīm śaktim
hemavibhūṣitām viyadgatām maholkābhām
ciccheda daśabhiḥ śaraiḥ sā apatat
daśadhā chinnā bhūmau pārthena dhīmatā
18. Then Arjuna cut that approaching spear (śakti), which was adorned with gold, moving through the sky, and appearing like a great meteor, into ten pieces with ten arrows. Severed into ten parts, it fell to the ground, struck down by the intelligent Pārtha (Arjuna).
