स छिन्नधनुरादाय अथ शक्तिं प्रतापवान् ।

17. Then, that mighty warrior (Kripa), whose bow was broken, took up a spear (śakti) and hurled it, blazing like a thunderbolt, at the son of Pāṇḍu (Arjuna).
