महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-52, verse-22

त्रिभिस्त्रिवेणुं समरे द्वाभ्यामक्षौ महाबलः ।
द्वादशेन तु भल्लेन चकर्तास्य ध्वजं तथा ॥२२॥
22. tribhistriveṇuṁ samare dvābhyāmakṣau mahābalaḥ ,
dvādaśena tu bhallena cakartāsya dhvajaṁ tathā.

dvādaśena tu bhallena cakart asya dhvajam tathā
22. Furthermore, the mighty one, using three arrows, severed the triple-staff (triveṇu) of the chariot in battle, and with two arrows, he cut its two axles. Then, with the twelfth *bhalla* arrow, he likewise chopped off his banner.
