महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-52, verse-26

ततो योधाः परीप्सन्तः शारद्वतममर्षणम् ।
सर्वतः समरे पार्थं शरवर्षैरवाकिरन् ॥२६॥
26. tato yodhāḥ parīpsantaḥ śāradvatamamarṣaṇam ,
sarvataḥ samare pārthaṁ śaravarṣairavākiran.
26. tataḥ yodhāḥ parīpsantaḥ śāradvatam amarṣaṇam
sarvataḥ samare pārtham śaravarṣaiḥ avākirann
26. Then, desiring to protect Śāradvata (Kṛpa), who was furious, the warriors showered Pārtha (Arjuna) from all sides in battle with volleys of arrows.
