महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-59, verse-18

ततो निबद्धहृदयः पुनरागम्य तां सभाम् ।
दमयन्तीं तथा दृष्ट्वा रुरोद निषधाधिपः ॥१८॥
18. tato nibaddhahṛdayaḥ punarāgamya tāṁ sabhām ,
damayantīṁ tathā dṛṣṭvā ruroda niṣadhādhipaḥ.
18. tataḥ nibaddhahṛdayaḥ punaḥ āgamya tām sabhām
damayantīm tathā dṛṣṭvā ruroda niṣadhādhipaḥ
18. Then, with a heavy heart, the lord of Niṣadha (Nala), having returned to that assembly hall and seeing Damayantī in such a state, wept.
