महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-292, verse-22

एवं बहुविधं राजन्विलप्य करुणं पृथा ।
अवासृजत मञ्जूषामश्वनद्यास्तदा जले ॥२२॥
22. evaṁ bahuvidhaṁ rājanvilapya karuṇaṁ pṛthā ,
avāsṛjata mañjūṣāmaśvanadyāstadā jale.

22. O King, having lamented piteously in various ways, Pritha then released the basket into the waters of the Ashvanadi river.
