महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-220, verse-1

मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
यदा स्कन्देन मातॄणामेवमेतत्प्रियं कृतम् ।
अथैनमब्रवीत्स्वाहा मम पुत्रस्त्वमौरसः ॥१॥
1. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca ,
yadā skandena mātṝṇāmevametatpriyaṁ kṛtam ,
athainamabravītsvāhā mama putrastvamaurasaḥ.
1. mārkaṇḍeyaḥ uvāca yadā skandena mātṝṇām evam etat priyam
kṛtam atha enam abravīt svāhā mama putraḥ tvam aurasaḥ
1. Mārkaṇḍeya said: When Skanda had thus performed this pleasing act for the mothers, then Svāhā said to him, "You are my legitimate son."
