अस्य लोकस्य सर्वस्य यः पतिः परिपठ्यते ।
सोऽग्निर्विश्वपतिर्नाम द्वितीयो वै मनोः सुतः ।
ततः स्विष्टं भवेदाज्यं स्विष्टकृत्परमः स्मृतः ॥१७॥

17. asya lokasya sarvasya yaḥ patiḥ paripaṭhyate ,
so'gnirviśvapatirnāma dvitīyo vai manoḥ sutaḥ ,
tataḥ sviṣṭaṁ bhavedājyaṁ sviṣṭakṛtparamaḥ smṛtaḥ.

paripathyate saḥ agniḥ viśvapatiḥ nāma
dvitīyaḥ vai manoḥ sutaḥ tataḥ sviṣṭam
bhavet ājyam sviṣṭakṛt paramaḥ smṛtaḥ

17. He who is described as the lord of this entire world is Agni, named Viśvapati, indeed the second son of Manu. Therefore, the ghee becomes well-offered (sviṣṭa), and the well-offerer (sviṣṭakṛt) is remembered as supreme.
