न चाहं हातुमिच्छामि क्षात्रधर्मं कथंचन ॥९॥

9. na hi yācanti rājāna eṣa dharmaḥ sanātanaḥ ,

Indeed, kings do not beg; this is an eternal natural law (dharma). And I certainly do not wish to abandon the warrior's duty (kṣātradharma) by any means.
