महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-152, verse-16

ते तं तदा तोमरपट्टिशाद्यैर्व्याविध्य शस्त्रैः सहसाभिपेतुः ।
जिघांसवः क्रोधवशाः सुभीमा भीमं समन्तात्परिवव्रुरुग्राः ॥१६॥
16. te taṁ tadā tomarapaṭṭiśādyai;rvyāvidhya śastraiḥ sahasābhipetuḥ ,
jighāṁsavaḥ krodhavaśāḥ subhīmā; bhīmaṁ samantātparivavrurugrāḥ.

vyāvidhya śastraiḥ sahasā abhipeyuḥ
jighāṃsavaḥ krodhavaśāḥ subhīmāḥ
bhīmam samantāt parivavruḥ ugrāḥ
16. Then they, filled with the desire to kill, overcome by rage, and very terrible and fierce, struck him with spears, axes, and other weapons. Suddenly, they rushed towards Bhīmasena and surrounded him from all sides.
