महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-49, verse-21

नैवं शम्बरहन्ताभूद्यौवनाश्वो मनुर्न च ।
न च राजा पृथुर्वैन्यो न चाप्यासीद्भगीरथः ॥२१॥
21. naivaṁ śambarahantābhūdyauvanāśvo manurna ca ,
na ca rājā pṛthurvainyo na cāpyāsīdbhagīrathaḥ.
21. na evam śambarahantā abhūt yauvanāśvaḥ manuḥ na ca
na ca rājā pṛthuḥ vainyaḥ na ca api āsīt bhagīrathaḥ
21. Neither the slayer of Śambara, nor Yauvanāśva, nor Manu did such a deed. Nor did King Pṛthu (Vainya), nor indeed was Bhagīratha capable of it.
