महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-49, verse-10

अभ्यषिञ्चत्ततो धौम्यो व्यासश्च सुमहातपाः ।
नारदं वै पुरस्कृत्य देवलं चासितं मुनिम् ॥१०॥
10. abhyaṣiñcattato dhaumyo vyāsaśca sumahātapāḥ ,
nāradaṁ vai puraskṛtya devalaṁ cāsitaṁ munim.
10. abhyaṣiñcat tataḥ dhaumyaḥ vyāsaḥ ca sumahātapāḥ
nāradam vai puraskṛtya devalam ca asitam munim
10. Then Dhaumya and Vyasa, who was a greatly ascetic (tapas) sage, performed the consecration ritual, having placed Narada, Devala, and the sage Asita at the forefront.
