महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-16, chapter-5, verse-21

मत्वात्मानमपराद्धं स तस्य जग्राह पादौ शिरसा चार्तरूपः ।
आश्वासयत्तं महात्मा तदानीं गच्छन्नूर्ध्वं रोदसी व्याप्य लक्ष्म्या ॥२१॥
21. matvātmānamaparāddhaṁ sa tasya; jagrāha pādau śirasā cārtarūpaḥ ,
āśvāsayattaṁ mahātmā tadānīṁ; gacchannūrdhvaṁ rodasī vyāpya lakṣmyā.
21. matvā ātmānam aparāddham saḥ tasya
jagrāha pādau śirasā ca ārta-rūpaḥ
āśvāsayat tam mahātmā tadānīm
gacchan ūrdhvam rodasī vyāpya lakṣmyā
21. saḥ ārta-rūpaḥ ātmānam aparāddham
matvā tasya pādau śirasā ca jagrāha
tadānīm mahātmā gacchan ūrdhvam

21. Thinking himself to have offended, he, in distress, clasped his feet with his head. The great-souled one (mahātmā) then comforted him as he ascended, pervading heaven and earth with his glory.
