महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-72, verse-23

तत्र संकलना नास्ति राज्ञामयुतशस्तदा ।
येऽयुध्यन्त महाराज क्षत्रिया हतबान्धवाः ॥२३॥
23. tatra saṁkalanā nāsti rājñāmayutaśastadā ,
ye'yudhyanta mahārāja kṣatriyā hatabāndhavāḥ.

23. O great king, at that time, there was no counting (saṃkalanā) of the kings and warriors (kṣatriyāḥ) who fought there in tens of thousands, those whose kinsmen had been slain.
