महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-72, verse-21

स हयः पृथिवीं राजन्प्रदक्षिणमरिंदम ।
ससारोत्तरतः पूर्वं तन्निबोध महीपते ॥२१॥
21. sa hayaḥ pṛthivīṁ rājanpradakṣiṇamariṁdama ,
sasārottarataḥ pūrvaṁ tannibodha mahīpate.

21. O King, subduer of enemies, that horse travelled around the earth clockwise, going first to the north, then to the east. O lord of the earth, understand this.
