महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-72, verse-17

याज्ञवल्क्यस्य शिष्यश्च कुशलो यज्ञकर्मणि ।
प्रायात्पार्थेन सहितः शान्त्यर्थं वेदपारगः ॥१७॥
17. yājñavalkyasya śiṣyaśca kuśalo yajñakarmaṇi ,
prāyātpārthena sahitaḥ śāntyarthaṁ vedapāragaḥ.

17. And the disciple of Yājñavalkya, who was skilled in Vedic rituals (yajña) and thoroughly versed in the Vedas, went with Pārtha (Arjuna) for the purpose of propitiation.
