महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-72, verse-1

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
दीक्षाकाले तु संप्राप्ते ततस्ते सुमहर्त्विजः ।
विधिवद्दीक्षयामासुरश्वमेधाय पार्थिवम् ॥१॥
1. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
dīkṣākāle tu saṁprāpte tataste sumahartvijaḥ ,
vidhivaddīkṣayāmāsuraśvamedhāya pārthivam.

1. Vaiśampāyana said: When the time for the initiation ceremony arrived, those eminent priests duly initiated the king for the Aśvamedha (Vedic ritual).
